AREA 3 & 6 Overnight Work

Night Time Closures at 34 Avenue and 66 Street

On or about May 8 & 9, 2020 EPCOR will be working overnight at the intersection of 34 Avenue and 66 Street to expose underground utilities and for directional drilling.  This work is expected to last for two nights and occur overnight between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. There will be hydrovac noise and flashing lights while this work is completed.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas: 

  • One southbond lane in the intersection of 34 Avenue and 66 Street will be closed.
  • Two-way traffic will be maintained.
  • Flaggers will be on hand to assist traffic.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and will obtain an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

95 Avenue & 85 Street Night Work – Signal Installation

Starting on or about May 8, 2020, EPCOR will begin installing the signal poles and davit arms (the arms from which the signal lights will hang) on 95 Avenue and 85 Street.  This work will occur overnight from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for one night.  There will be alternating lane closures in this intersection as the work is completed.  Flaggers will be on site to assist traffic.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Overnight work on 95 Avenue and 85 Street.
  • Flaggers will be on hand to assist traffic.
  • There will be noise associated with this work – mainly the noise from the use of an impact gun to tighten bolts.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.
